"Milk please!" Kelly Nodded with a smile and handed the tiny
dwarf a pitcher of milk. "Sure is a beautiful day out today, isn't
it?" Watts said kicking his feet some. Watts never did reach the
floor. Heck for that matter the dwarf barely reached the rung of the
stool. "What will you do today Watts?" Kelly asked as she sat
down relaxing her feet. "Oh I dont know..mine I suppose. I have a
rather large order to fill, guess I should get cracking on that huh?"
"Yes you should. How else will you make the money?" She said
smiling.Watts took a sip of the milk, right from the pitcher. "Mmm
cold milk sure tasts good on days like these!" "How is it
different from any other day? We never get snow here and it hardly ever
rains." "Ever just get an inside feeling that theres nothing in
the world that could possibly go wrong? That everyone and everything is
happy for once? Well, thats how I feel today. I love this feeling. Its so
warm outside, the birds chirping, the animals playing. All is well."
"ahh." Said Kelly with a smile and nod. "Well then I wont
complain." And she went back to writing some scrolls. Watts wiped his
mouth off with his hand and put the pitcher down. "Thanks for the
drink Kelly. Hit the spot." "Aye."She said putting the now
empty pitcher in the troth of water. Watts turn to hop off the stool when
suddenly "Ouch! Hey!" "Haha, didnt expect that did you my
little milk drinking friend?" It was Fang, the half bard half bad-ass
pulling on Watts helmet horns. "Oof... hmph.. not funny Fang."
"Yes it was.. it wasnt because it happened to you." Watts
removed a pair of tongs "Oh..well I wish to laugh now to." He
crabbed Fangs nose with them and squeezed. "HAHA now THAT'S
Funny!!" Fang gave a yell of pain "AHH Watts!! Now that
hurt!" "Yea.. it did.. my SIDES from laughing so hard!"
Watts hopped off the stool and ran out the door laughing, fang following
in pursuit with a smile on his face. Kelly just watched as the two grown
man were acting like children and just smiled as she continued to write
her scrolls. A faint warm breeze blew through the window of the Whispering
Pines Taven and brished her hair back, kelly just smiled. |
